Neighbor is constantly using a live trap and catching possums. He should shoot them, instead he takes them for a ride down the road, only for them to return. Once we asked him is he got a new dog. Come to find out it was momma fox and 3 cubs living in his barn. A 22 took care of that problem.
As for me, I would have your chickens for supper. I helped my neighbor 4 years convert part of his old chicken coop into hay storage. I coughed so hard my ribs hurt. A month later I was diagonalized with a fungal infection, histoplasmosis. Deadly fungus found in chicken poo. Learned it common with farmers in Indiana. I grew up with chickens, never had a problem. Please be careful around chickens, especially when you are stirring up the chicken poo. Keep kids away too.
