Here we get a few out after the ice goes out after Crappie and Sun Fish but opener they try to put off until after spawn. Most boats didn't get wet until last night. Most of those will be off the lakes right after Labor Day. About the only boats out after that are duck boats. Sure there are a few guys that will still fish till the ice come in bit they are darn few.
Opener here is normally at least in the mid 40's. Last night while not really cold like we can get was brutal for this time of year.
I haven't lived anyplace for a trout opener or trout season sense 71. So I did forget about that part.
