shoulder injuries are very tough.
gotta rest it...easier said than done. Weeks of being careful can be undone in an instant by just reaching for a beer on a high shelf

I've had a few severe shoulder injuries. First stage, belted my upper arm tight to my side. After some healing, I tethered my elbow to my belt with a foot long cord.
No way to cheat, no mistakes....that arm will stay close!
Yes, it's a bother in the shop.
But people function every day with far worse problems.
The tether will keep that arm in and you will adapt and figure out how to get your work done with it.

ps...even though medical people will try to bulldog you...it's really simple if you don't like a test. Just say no.
