Don't Know if it is a techumse engine but if you notice all of the engine covers are cast pot metal. Same for the deck and fenders. Lastly it looks as if the motor is a two cycle. Crazy what they came out with during the 50s. Same deal with the Snapper mower and both models had a big old nasty turtle head screwed on the deck. Also, That is the air filter.
