The input cost and return do not consider government payments. If farmers can profit without government payments, then why do we have them? The point is, the general fact is true. Farmers frequently market for less than cost and when the point is publicized, Corporate Ag censors the source. Isn't there something in the Constitution about Freedom of Press and Speech? A large Corporate entity has unlimited funds to buy as much speech as they want and censor what they don't want.
