Ouch! When I was a kid - maybe 10 or 11 my cousin dropped a valve in his fairly late model 560 JD. The valve turned around and Imbedded the stem into the top of the piston. Even as a youngster I had an interest in engines, etc and had taken apart a couple of old Lawson one cyl engines that my grandpa had just to see what was inside. So I could tell right away that piston was ruined. Our cousin had the engine repaired and ran it till he passed away 30 years later. The piston layed by the tree in his yard for years. I was always amazed how big it was and the force required to drive the valve stem into it.
