You need to really check on the TOTAL cost of the transactions. It can easily be closer to 5-6% plus other fees if you do not do so much volume. The last dealership I worked at added a surcharge on all credit card transactions. The credit card companies raise cane about doing that but they are not the ones PAYING the fees/percentages.
I personally would not want the hassle of dealing with credit cards. The additional cost and bother just would not be worth it to me.
