Hi I dont have books on that tractor but worked on a couple of different models about 16 years ago on those the hydraulic oil was in a tank under the seat, It was really the rock shaft housing for the 3 point on those ones. it didnt come out of the transmission like a Deere, Ford, or many others. Maybe thats your issue it's empty. sometimes the seal goes in the engine pump and it fills the motor over time running. then blows oil out the muffler when it's over full to!.
I'm not sure that something can happen so the oil goes from the tank down into the transmission to, then the hyds quit when it's empty. i saw one guy fill a trans right to the top thinking he had no oil. then when that didn't work he traded it to the NH dealer i worked at after a week owning it and not being happy. we filled the tank and away the hyds went, we fixed a couple of big leaks on the loader and sold it 3 days later. Hope thats your problem, this tractors beginning to sound expensive already. Regards Robert
