When we started out selling sweetcorn we planted a shrunken kernel variety and every year we would put another variety in as a trial to see if we could find a variety that was less expensive. Ambrosia and Peaches n' Cream brought customers back saying they wanted the "good stuff", so we gave up on planting anything else. Last year we were shipped 2lbs of silver queen instead of green bean seed...the vendor said to keep it. I planted a small field, big mistake....I had one customer that liked it...she was from Mexico. That stuff was the most tasteless corn I have ever had...other than the field corn we ate as a kid.
