I appreciate all the responses and am very impressed with the posts that can quote what tire pressure they run or adjust for depending on the loading required. I originally was curious because I found my rear tire low, adding air seemed to take awhile just to come up to 2 psi, so hence my query. Just to make things simple, if you have a tire that stands 5' tall with 3' filled with water, although the water gives plenty of weight it only gives you less than 1.5 psi. Adding 15 psi of air on top of the liquid, I assume keeps the liquid compressed and does not allow it to slosh around inside the tire, so 15 psi is 15 psi no matter what the liquid volume is inside the tire. I keep saying liquid because I know someone can use plain water to beet juice and anything in between. Just wanted to stay away from that subject :D
