Not so sure that he is saying the multipower is faulty? They are a good strong tractor, if the MP is working ok they are quite safe, just make sure it is in High when facing downhill. I've never heard of a modification, but they are not hard to repair in any case. Make sure the hydraulic filter screen is clean and they don't give much trouble. It would always be possible to physically lock it out at the lever if it was a concern that it could be used by mistake.
