Dad bought a used car that the neighbor traded in, and was supposed to bring it back to the dealer for a tune-up the next day. Dad sent me to take the car to the dealer and wait for it after the tune-up was done.
I was talking to the dealer out in the garage when the neighbor came in and said that he forgot to take the bumper clamp trailer hitch off of the car. The dealer got a look on his face that said he expected to end up in the middle of an argument. I knew Dad didn't want that trailer hitch on his car anyway, so I walked over, opened the trunk, took out a wrench and handed it to the neighbor and told him to take it off. Dealer and neighbor were both happy that it went that way; Dad was happy too.
