I tried the band or strap. It worked for a while, but moved around on the arm during the day & it's supposed t stay in one spot. I would try the band first. The band may work fine for some as I see lots of people wearing them. I went to doctor for a cortisone shot in elbow area. I really helped take the bad pain away. The cortisone shot does not last forever. Doctor visit and the shot cost a lot(insurance pays a portion) compared to price of strap or compression sleeve. I now wear compression sleeves on each elbow daily & they help a lot. Good luck
