I have the FoMoCo shop manual but of course there is nothing about a double disc clutch, since they did not offer one. I did go through measuring and setting the finger nuts to just slightly more from the mating surface than the release bearing is when clutch is relaxed. I don't expect that a disc is warped because it was doing it from first use, and they turned freely before installation. The flywheel is an SOS wheel, custom machined for this application.
My thinking is that it just needs a little bit more room to be able to turn freely when the clutch is depressed
