The wife and I went over to my oldest son's later yesterday afternoon. We had an informal family get together. There are several birthdays in March and April so we unusually have one big get together then.

The oldest grand son got a new 12 gauge shot gun and a clay pigeon throwing machine. So we had to try it all out. I am terrible shooting clay pigeons anymore. My eyes and body just do not work the best for this stuff anymore. I only hit 4 of ten the first try and later did 6 for ten. Nothing special as they where easy throws.

So all the "males" where sharing stories/lies (lol) when we got invaded by the women folk. We teased each other while some of the guys still where shooting. Then I heard the words every husband hates to hear!!! "Honey hold my purse" What the heck??? Well I have posted about how my wife is a good shot with a shot gun. Her Father was an expert and taught her an she shot a lot when she was younger. She told the grand son she was going to show him how to shoot clay pigeons. HE of coarse, laughed at that. He was sunk before the first shot as he had made her mad. LOL Well they set it up and threw ten pigeons. She hit 9 for 10. LOL Then she laid into him for setting it "easy" LOL She was kind of stirred up!!! LOL So he set it up to randomly throw and then even threw one by hand right with the last machine thrown one so she had two in the air at once. She hit 10 for 10 that time. LOL LOL!!! So she then spent about an hour showing him and the others some "tricks" on shooting a shot gun better. My oldest Grand son came over to me during this and told me he was glad she was not "REAL" mad at him. LOL I told him to NEVER make a woman that can shoot like she does MAD!!!!

So how should I feel??? First my wife left me holding her purse for all of this!!!! LOL Then she told me I shoot like a girl. ( She like to rub it in until we shot with a pistol and I win. I did NOT point that out at this time. Safer as the shot gun is still too handy. LOL) Second remember this woman is not in the best health now and had real trouble with a broken hip just a few years ago. She had a blast!!! I bet the Kids will talk about Mamma for a while now. One last detail: The shot gun was a 12 gauge pump.

So I guess I am proud to have married a TRUE Redneck woman!!!!!

PS Even IF I end up holding her purse. LOL

I also am helping her ice her shoulder this morning too. LOL
