If you are getting passed on BOTH sides, you are hogging the middle lane. You may not realize it, but the middle lane is the PASSING lane for big trucks. Most places do not allow trucks in the left lane. In any case, if you are going slower or faster than the flow of traffic, you will be the one that the traffic cop is watching. Most southern states have speed limits of 70 or more, so high speed traffic is not uncommon. When in Rome....... Otherwise, as others have said, use the secondary roads. You will have a more relaxed and comfortable ride.
