: Our church has an old 1973 White (make) dump truck. It had a broken line coming out of the hydraulic pump. I replaced the line, and now the bed will not go up. I AM NOT a mechanic, and know nothing whatsoever about hydraulic systems. It has dual rams. The bed used to go up before this problem. Do I need to prime the pump ? Do I need to bleed the rams, and if so how ? Any and ALL suggestions will most certainly be welcome. I would really appreciate any e-mail with suggestions, information on how hydraulic systems work or URL's to same, pictorial breakdowns on general hydraulic systems etc. Thanks in advance - Rick "Flow makes it go" Check at the output of the pump to see if there is any flow. If not check the suction (between tank and pump) for any suction leaks(may be getting air) any noisy operation at the pump? anyhow ya go with that and give us a yell if you need to (peter)
