Working on an Allis Chalmers ED-40. Have the water pump apart. New bearing from one tractor dealer was $23, he had only one. Bearing from another was $34. A similar bearing from McMaster Carr is about $8. Problem is it is a 16mm shaft and standard bearings seem to be listed at 15mm, 17mm, with the correct 40mm od. Somebody is making a lot of money. The stock bearings are a little thicker than the standard bearings, but it wouldn't matter. Almost got the 17mm bearings and made bushings, but had already bought the $23 bearing.
