Many winter Texans from the mid-west come to spend the winter with us. I meet with several from a nearby RV park for breakfast most every morning. They start heading back in a week or two. We have a pretty much year round growing season for everything, citrus, vegetables, sorghum, cotton, sugar cane, corn. The Rio Grande River and the irrigation system installed by the pioneers in the early 1900s makes all this possible. Dad was a dry land farmer. He raised corn, sorghum, and cotton for cash crop. I recently retired from the electrical and construction industry. Gardening with my '41 Farmall M is my major hobby.
