I sure hope this is my last post about this.
The 886 is in town with the a/c being flushed and vac'ed to switch over to the update kit. I'm going to put the kit on it and then have Ken fill her up.
The instructions with the compressor say to open the plug and drain all of the oil out of the pump before installing. It does not say whether to keep the oil or reuse it. There aren't instructions to specifically NOT reuse it. Ken wanted to know if I had oil for the unit when he charges it. He knows what oil he would use (I believe he said ester on a conversion) in it but not whether we can reuse what's in the pump now. Can I keep that and use it as the oil? It's the Sanden (sp?) unit with the upgrade package from here at YT.
