I walked the fence on the 80 at uncle Raymond's today. The cows will be moved up there in a couple of weeks. About half of it you can't even get the four wheeler in so you have to walk it. Spending the day walking that fence with a chain saw, a fencing bucket, and some extra T posts makes for a long one. It just isn't worth it for the few acres of good pasture, but you do it cause it's family.
Anyway, I took some pictures (this is with my iPhone so they might be flipped for you) so you could see Kansas isn't all tall grass prairie.
Better yet - someone tell me how old the barbed wire in the last picture is. I've never removed any wire, just added more. I've never seen barbs like that, though.
