The Delco rep told us at ADOT repeatedly that batteries must be firmly clamped down so there is no movement of the battery. Bungee cords will allow the battery to move around; according to the Delco rep, you will only get one-half or less life out of the battery. Put in a metal clamp that will hold the battery down securely. I think that manufacturers did not make the original battery hold-down with a bungee cord.
