The factory check valve was installed at the fuel filter base. I have had much better luck installing them at the fuel tank. Look at it this way. Is it easier to keep a garden hose full by holding your thumb over the top of the hose or the bottom??? The current part number is AR73888 list price of $49.77. I usually get used ones off the combines, JD 6600 or JD 7700 had them.
