I agree a carbon pile tester does a good job. Too many think the wire resistance unit will tell them all they need to know, the wire units only pull 100 amps which is many times less than most tractors or diesel pickups require. My electronic tester though cost about three times more than my carbon pile. I have only used my carbon pile once since I bought my electronic tester, that was when my electronic battery tester disappeared from the shop. I don't retail batteries, but trust my electronic every time. I did buy a new electronic.
