Our family farm was a Dairy My grandpa had a cat that would sit on it's hind legs when he was hooking up the milker and he would squirt it like the one in today pictures. When my uncle took over the farm he got a doberman that would kill any cat it could find. Then he would feed it to the pigs. He hated cats. Well with in about 6 months there was not a cat to be found on the farm. mice and rats there were plenty, he figured he was loosing about 100 lbs of feed a day to pests. you would open the door to the barn and all you would here was little feet scuttling everywhere including the walls. Dairy inspector showed up one day shut him down untill he got rid of the vermin. Told him he couldn't use poison, he had to use traps or cats. NO one would let him have a cat the rats ate the traps so he went and stole two cats from another farm. mice and rats gone in six weeks. Doberman was fed to the pigs in the first week.
