I have to agree with Dr. Sportster, if anyone hung those sailors out to dry it was their junior and senior officers who let them get captured. Why were those sailors there and why were they allowed to be captured is the real issue. The State Department jumped in and negotiated their quick release unharmed and with their equipment. That's rare!
The picture of those sailors being captured was released by the Iranians. Why are there no pictures of those sailors being released? The Navy and the State department probably want to put the incident behind us. If those sailors had returned to the US in flag draped coffins, or as old men after years of captivity much more disgusting than a picture of them being captured. Fortunately this incident did not end that way.
So why do you want to keep trying to stir up a big stink about a problem that is already settled and forgotten?. Are you trying to draw attention away from the officers mistakes?
