Back in the late 1980's I took a friend in his early 90's to a tractor show near here. There was an International tractor there like the one pictured above with slanted hood. I helped him to climb up on it so I could take his picture. He told me a story about how he had bought one like it when it was new, along with a threshing machine. He bought it in Syacuse, and drove it home to South Otselic NY where he started his threshing business. My father used to work for him building Chenango Camp Trailers. He showed me pictures of a style of lug he had invented and patented for steel wheel tractors that he called "The Tractoe Lug. It was pivoted in the middle where it fastened to the wheel so it put 4 points on the ground. He said Henry Ford told him he could have made him a rich man if he had invented it 5 years earlier, as it was, rubber tires for tractors came out at about that time.
