Got interested in antique tractor pulling several years ago. Helped hook at several pulls while I looked on YT for a "puller". Found a WC 600 miles away in north central KY, made the deal on the phone, got in my truck and went and got it. Unloaded it and parked it in my shed when I got home. Hurt my back a week later and didn't touch it. Got well enough to pull so I showed up at the clubs second pull of the year, tech inspection revealed it was only turning 1250 rpms. Entered the 3000 DivII and pulled last. WON! Decided to enter the 3300 so payed up again, pulled last, WON! Long story short, I won 5 times before I even put gas in it! PS: I did up the rpms for the 5th and 6th hooks. No tach, by ear, and got it wrong by 125 rpm so the 6th win was a DQ.
