I have bought so many lemons that I think I was running a lemonade stand rather than trading tractor. LOL
The best one I have ever had pulled on me was on a JD 2520. It was a diesel with a wide front end. It ran well and sounded good. I paid top dollar for it. I took it home and actually used it for several days making hay. Light work, raking and such. Then I was using in it away from home. It started making a hammering noise and I shut it right down. That tractor had a spun main bearing. The seller had replaced the bearing with a hard piece of oil soaked leather. It ran for 10-15 hours that way. The block and crankshaft where both junk. So I had to find both used and then do a complete overhaul.
