I would have loved to have that mccormick cultivator. I have my grandfather's up in the pasture. It's all locked up with rust. My mom was the last to ride it, pulled by a tractor probably 25-30 years ago. My dad used to ride it every single day in the early summer, when he was young. My grandfather hitched the horses first thing in the morning, then he went to work for the township road dept, and my dad would ride it until he got back home. Amazing to think I am the first generation in our 240 years of farming, that has never had to work with a team of horses. In my defense, I must say that if I went back in time a few hundred years and asked my family to diagnose an electrical problem with the 3 point hitch, they would have it a lot harder trying to comprehend just exactly what a 3 point hitch was, let alone diagnose a bundle of wires and sensors to fix it! Witchcraft!
