I doubt this is your problem and I had it on a different tractor though it was a Massey Ferguson, but I had that happen on my 65. no matter what I tried it would turn over hard and slow. Jumped straight from a car because the battery couldn't start it once. still, hard and slow. All these times I had been pushing the clutch down when trying to start it as I had read to do. Everything in neutral, including PTO, not touching the clutch, spun easily and fired right up. Just a thought
