Have you noticed any adverse effects from those windmills?
Reason I asked, it's become an issue recently in a couple of adjoining counties. One issue is nearby people have complained about a "whoomping" sound every time a blade rotates past the ground, and other annoyances. One adjoining county is considering having the allowable noise level reduced from 50 dbs round the clock to 40 dbs during the day and 37 overnight within a certain distance. Another adjoining county has no comprehensive zoning plan, with each precinct setting their own guidelines and they're in a bit of a mess right now over it.
No one has proposed putting wind generators in our county as yet, but I've asked our County Planning and Zoning Administrator, and our County Attorney to review our zoning code as it applies to the wind generators. Our code now allows a noise level of 50 dbs and I'd like to see that reduced.
I intend to bring the issue up at our weekly meeting on Tuesday, and I'm open to comments.

Up to about 1958 the dairy cows were fed hay with some turnips and after that grass silage was the main winter feed. That same year was the last in which flax was grown on the farm. Flax provided the fibre which w
