Wife raised dairy goats. She got up to 60 does. When the tobacco settlement money came in it was looking like there would be a market for the milk here in KY. A lot of smaller farmers were excited but it cost too much and too far away for trucking. Closest processor I think was in Cinci. Goats are not the easiest to raise or keep in. Foot problems are the worst. The best she ever did was raising veal calves on the goats milk. They drink all they want and don't scour. Best of luck.
