Actually there is a another reason too. Take the book and open it. Fold the match down and then again so it is wrapped all of the way around. You will find the head is right in the middle of the strike strip. Now with a little squeeze from your thumb give the match a little pop shove movement. The match will lite! This is so blind people can safely lite a match for their drag. It also lets you lite it in complete darkness. The match will not get away from you. Neat!
