Check your local statutes Stan. No such law here.

But then I don't think Geo-TH said it was a law.

I do know that here they have to have a HUD tag on them

in order to move them and set them up to live in again and local

restrictions are tighter yet. Shingled roof, no metal roof, etc.

I think HUD tags were put on starting in the late '70s though.

As Geo said, there are quite a few of them on CL here for free.

Just haul them away. Make a shop out of them, make a deer

blind, whatever you want. Just can't live in it once its moved if

it doesn't have that HUD tag and meet local restrictions.

I've also seen many for free that can be lived in as long as you

don't move them out of the trailer park they are currently in.

They are grandfathered there. Just pay the "cheap" lot rent.

Reminds me of the "take over payment" schemes.

You'll have to pay that lot rent until you tear it down.
