The Ford tractors had filter laying on side and never had that drain back problem, everytime you changed a filter you had full filters of oil running down side of block just as soon as filter was loosened, but was probably 20 years ago when all had left so filters might have changed. At that time the Ph8A was about half again as heavy as the others so we figured it should have more filtering material inside.
