I guess the problem that I have with being one of 7 billion taking part in a class action lawsuit and getting a check for 40 cents, is that I then surrender my right to ever sue that defendant over that issue. Not that I plan to, but what if something comes up and I say, "Wait just a minute here...", and have already settled for 40 cents? Besides, even though I'm not wealthy, overlooking 40 cents won't kill me. Money for nothing and chicks for free, I've never been a fan of MTV.
Cook County, Illinois is said to be one of, if not the place of the largest litigation payouts in at least the USA, and that's why so many lawsuits from all over the country are filed in Cook County. I remember when I lived there decades ago and McDonalds had some sort of Monopoly game going on, and someone somehow turned it into a scam, so the FBI approached McDonalds and asked them to keep the game running long enough to bust the bad guys, and McDonalds worked with them. After the FBI popped the bad guys, McDonalds cancelled the game. Holy cow were people upset. Turns out in at least Illinois, it only takes four people to launch a Class Action, so one very upset playing attorney got three others to sign up with him, and he launched a Class Action against...deep pockets in Cook County. Then there was the time that Kraft Foods had some sort of similar game, the printing company accidentally turned each piece into an instant millionaire, about 5 billion winning pieces, an obvious mistake, so Kraft immediately cancelled the game...setting off a whopper of a Class Action against them in Cook County. I'm not looking for ways to be victimized.

At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p
