Years ago I used a tractor mounted snowblower, on two farms, then on several neighbors, plus an elderly landlord 3 miles away. Made a nice afternoon circuit. Always shared a couple snorts with the landlord, nice warmup for the drive home.
Once, I came across a fellow stuck sideways in his driveway, with a little JD skidloader. Pulled him out, and it turned out he was an injury-retired rail mechanic, with too much time on his hands. Ended up he rebuilt a 30hp Wisconsin engine for me, and we shared many nice visits before he died a few years later.
