Hey everyone in cold weather territory, be careful! Here in MI last week we got a bunch of rain and then snow on top of it. The snow is mostly gone now but the temps dropped so fast everything is locked down in a thick coat of ice. Driveways, gravel roads, walkways and such. I was walking yesterday from my truck to my shop, and with the sun shining, the ice had a little bit of water on it. My feet went out from under me so fast I didn't have time to react, smacked the back of my head so hard my glasses flew off and slid under my truck. I had a hard time finding them, as I don't see well at all without them. I just wanted to lay there for a bit before I got up, but the back of my pants and sweatshirt were wet from the water on the ice. Had a terrible headache the rest of the day, and yet this morning when I went to cut wood, but it is gone now thankfully. I THOUGHT I was so sure footed until that little episode. It knocked my marbles loose, but I'm young enough to spring back. But it makes me worry about my dad, he walks every day from his house to his shop, and has it all packed down into ice. He is like me, thinks he is sure footed, and he is too stubborn to wear anything for traction on his shoes. I think I'll get him some salt and do up his path to his shop real well, it makes me worry when my mom is gone and he's out and about by himself.

Today's Featured Article - Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
