A couple of years ago this Iowan and his wife were in the middle of the Mardi Gras festivities on Fat Tuesday shivering in 37 degree temps and drizzle. I was wearing lined jeans and a winter parka and I still wasn't warm. Catching those beads actually stung the hands. I don't know how many other northerners were there but the rest of the crowd didn't look as cold as I felt. Maybe it was because I only had one bottle of anti-freeze in me. LOL I would love to go again, but only when it is 60 or above.
