Its called a Winston Freer Tile Puzzle. The wedge shaped piece top and bottom cuts which are angled are also not cut vertically, the edges are tapered. The wedge piece is wider on the table side than on the "air" side. When he takes it out of the box, he turns that piece over. It would not fit in the box with that piece turned over. After removing the three pieces, it fits back in the box, with the wedge shaped piece upside down. There's a good visual explanation on you tube.
