Here in Hillsdale County, Michigan just west of Hillsdale on Hallet Road there's the best looking "conventional" dairy barn I ever saw just going to waste and decrepancy. It's about a 36 x 100, just beautiful with rilco laminated rafter style steel "round" roof, the big galvanized steel wind vanilators, basement has glazed tile faced wall with the "Ice cube" windows, attatched block milk house, cement slab barnyard and the remnants of a railroad tie post barnyard fence. Man, when I go by there I just dream about how nice it would have been to have a barn like that to milk about 50 registered holsteins in in about the 1950-1960's era. "Heaven on earth for me". I've watched this barn for 16 years now slowly deteriorate....it's well built so it's holding up pretty good, but about 10 more years and it'll be pretty shot and ugly if someone doesn't come to it's rescue.
