Had a tenant who always complained the heat wasn't working right. I guess she thought the heat was supposed to run all the time so the room temp shown on the thermostat never dropped below the actual setting. If it did, she complained about it being too cold.
I wound up having to replace the thermostat with a different one that allowed me to add to the shown temp. This allowed it to drop enough to meet the necessary differential, but never read below the temp she considered to be warm.
