BAD ADVICE!!!!! Yes you can go to another state and buy ammo but that does not allow you to LEGALLY bring it back to Illinois! If you are caught with ammo or a gun in Illinois and are an Illinois resident you will be arrested AND your guns and ammo will be confiscated...Then you will NEVER be able to get a FOID and own a gun LEGALLY!!!! I urge all Illinois residents to OBEY the law , I know it sucks but when you break the laws you are just another CRIMINAL in the eyes of the Government. ....
ALSO to the incident in Joliet, these store employees did not understand the law,( as is common). An out of state person only has to abide by HIS STATES requirements to buy or possess a gun. Of course that requires the store to know and understand the laws of 49 other States!!!!
BTW, we are making progress as we can now apply for and receive a concealed carry permit!!!!!!
