Thanks to all who emailed me information on my auxiliary hydraulic questions, especially M. Smith at parts repair. My dual spool control valve is now truly mine because I understand it and can use it. I had a local fellow build me a nice strong loader box to put on my MF50 3 point hitch. Instead of using the standard design with the frame holding the box and a pull rope to unlatch it to unload it, I had him build it to connect directly to the lift arms just like my grader box does. I got a dual action hydraulic cylinder to use as the top link and connected it to my dual spool control valve. Once I learned how to use the valve it worked great! The box is 4 feet wide, two feet deep and 18 inches high. I raise and lower it with the lift arms and I control the tilt angle with the dual spool control. I can back into a pile of material and scoop a nice load up, raise it and carry it for dumping elsewhere. The whole thing cost $343.00 including hoses and fittings. It's not as strong as a front loader nor will it lift a load as high, but for the money it does a great job of getting several hundred pounds of material off the ground for moving or dumping.
