They have been selling crawfish since last month with all this warm weather we have been having but this cold snap has probably sent them back under ground.
In my honest opinion; floods like this are probably the best thing that could happen to crawfish. When they open the spillway north of Baton Rouge it forces the Corp to divert fresh water out threw the swamp (Atchafalaya Basin) to the gulf. This mimics the way nature use to do it and flushes the swamp of stagnant water. On the other hand oysters will suffer because they need salt water.
Like they say the two things not to talk about are religion and politics unless you are prepared for a argument. Around here Mississippi river diversions ranks right up there with them.
