Booo hooo. Cry me a fricken river. This was never anything more than protectionism by any other name. Something you guys are really good at... and when the shoe is on the other foot, cry foul louder than anyone else. The US has been working for 40 years to undermine and destroy Canada's domestic supply management system but that was never a problem because that was to the advantage of the US. No different than the 20% countervailing duty recently imposed on Eastern Canadian paper because of a so-called subsidized electricity rate for our paper mills. Funny how that wasn't a problem three years ago when that mill was restarted following the bankruptcy of the American company that owned it... but now that the exchange rate has gone from par to 70 cents.... now we better get a duty on Canadian product. Yeah, cry me that river. You guys only want 'free' trade when you can dump your stuff on everyone else. When the shoe is on the other foot, close the border immediately.
