Our family bought computers when the computer age was at the infancy and before the "internet" was readily available. We really had to because my wife is a computer programmer and I was working in engineering for a semiconductor manufacturer at the time.Yep, I'd dress up like a Klansman every day and work in a clean room, along with running three separate scanning electron microscopes, and testing prototype dies that were still on the semiconductor wafers. We've had computers since the main processor was the 8088/80286 era.
