I have a 1086 and a 4650. Like others said both have strengths and weaknesses. I put those struts on the 1086 doors and made them much handier and less prone to wind damage. The 4650 cab is a bit quieter. Shift-wise, the 4650 is a power shift so no comparison there. Also the diff lock on the 1086 is more user friendly for loader work. For loader work the 1086 having two doors is nice, the Deere has better hydraulics. Lengthening the hyd levers on the 1086 made using them nicer but now I have to be careful going out the right door.
