Had a 5020 that done same thing stuck in forward gear. What caused it was dirt had built up under the shifter rod clevis and arm on top of the trans housing and wouldn't let the arm go back down to get into neutral. I had to dig the dirt out from the right side cowling bottom where it meets the trans housing. Little at a time out of a small hole, no other good way, dirt gets trapped in their.
